I, who belong to the lineage of the three sages Vashishta, Maitra, Varuna and of Kaundinya gotra, offer my salutations to thee!

The words are a literal translation from the Sanskrit language and is an integral part of an introduction by an hindu brahmin.

What does it define?


Encyclopedia Brittanica: (Sanskrit: “thou art that”), in Hindu philosophy, the famous expression of the relationship between the individual and the absolute.

Back when I started thinking about blogging, the recurring thought in the back of my head was to set a purpose for it in my mind. Now, there are a million reasons why anybody blogs, but it truly boils down to why would one want to blog.

In my case, I was (and am still) going through a phase where I was starting to identify my(self), literally. One thing led to another, and another, and I finally wound up here.

To me, tat-tvam-asi, is a process of introspection interspersed on my journey through life that allows me to discover myself and stay true to my roots.
